About our unit
Our unit comprises 10 colorectal surgeons (below + 2 new additions). We are a predominantly robotic surgical units 5 currently fully trained surgeons and a 6th one training on the Da Vinci Xi system.
We are a tertiary unit for TEMS
Pelvic Exenteration
CRS+HIPEC for colorectal peritoneal disease
Ileoanal pouch surgery (ACPGBI accredited unit).
We are a robotic training centre running regular basic and intermediate robotic colorectal courses. We publish our clinical outcomes, learning curves and specialist data.
We are one of the highest volume centres for colorectal cancer in the UK set within an RCS accredited Surgical Elective Hub which minimises disruptions due to flux in emergency admissions.
